Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Dunreidy Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge industrial, pharmaceutical, and data centre projects across Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and compliance standards.

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Project Length: 12 Months (Full-Time, with potential for extension)
Department: Electrical Engineering


Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Installation: Oversee the installation of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems in compliance with industry regulations.

  • Testing & Commissioning: Ensure systems meet safety, performance, and reliability standards before project handover.

  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose & resolve electrical issues to ensure continuous system operation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical teams, site managers, contractors, and clients.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Adhere to industry standards (ISO, GMP, etc.) to maintain high safety and performance levels.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical installation
  • Proficiency in reading & interpreting electrical schematics, layouts & wiring diagrams
  • Experience with high-voltage (HV) & low-voltage (LV) installations, automation & control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills & attention to detail
  • Excellent communication & teamwork abilities
  • Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling & relevant industry certifications (preferred)
