Verdot IPS2 , based in Riom, France, have been in business since the 1950's. The company base their expertise in design of purification equipment for BioPharma and other industries, from development to industrial scale. Dunreidy Engineering recently secured the Verdot IPS2 project to supply our patented HYCON system for use in a pharmaceutical installation. HYCON is used in Process Industrial applications for the clean installation of Electrical, Instrumentation and Pneumatic Services. It has been recognised worldwide as the most adaptable and user friendly solution for cleanroom cable and tubing installation. HYCON minimises contamination risks, reduces cleaning costs and plant downtime. Our HYCON system is ideal for this bio-pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing company. The Kerry Group has invested €100m in the establishment of its new Technology & Innovation Centre which today accommodates 800 research, product commercialisation, business development and business support positions. The Kerry Global Technology & Innovation Centre was created to serve the Group’s global and regional customers in the EMEA [Europe, Middle East and Africa] region. As part of this new investment Kerry Group engaged Dunreidy on a mechanical and electrical project involving the documentation, disconnection and transporting of the plant from several countries in Europe back to the new  Innovations Centre in Naas, Co. Kildare for re-installation. We are delighted to have successfully completed this €1.5m project with Kerry Group. Dunreidy have successfully completed a €3,000,000 Mechanical and Electrical project in Bulmers, Clonmel for the C&C Group. The project included the mechanical and electrical works involved in the relocation of a high-performance bottling plant and installation of new production lines. As the main contractor, Dunreidy acted as the project supervisor for the construction stage (PSCS), to manage and co-ordinate Health and Safety maters during the construction stage of the project. During this project Dunreidy successfully co-ordinated all contractors involved in the project, including the decommissioning of a full production plant, relocation of the plant, Mechanical & Electrical hook-up once relocated as well as the commissioning and handover to client. Dunreidy are delighted to have worked with the C&C Group on this project and bringing it to its successful completion on time and within budget. Dunreidy are now CompEx certified. This is an internationally recognised course and qualification in explosive environments. The course provides competency - based assessment for personnel working in hazardous locations. CompEx courses consist of practical and theoretical assessments. CompEx validation and hazardous area training are most relevant and essential to people who are involved in the design, selection, installation, inspection and maintenance of equipment. The course also covers intrinsically safe systems and the necessary parameters required to ensure correct and safe installation is achieved.

In late 2015 Dunreidy Engineering made the decision to achieve certification to a recognised standard and we began the process of upgrading our system in line with ISO9001. This ISO standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management and continual improvement. Over subsequent months, an ISO9001:2015 management system was developed, implemented and rolled out across all aspects of the business. We are delighted to have received the ISO9001:2015 certification in December 2015. The implementation and certification of a management system tells our customers that we have embarked on a journey of continuous improvement with regards to quality, environment and safety issues. Dunreidy have been externally validated by Management Systems Certification Ltd, which helped us put in place the necessary procedures that will continually improve our strategies, operations and levels of service.

GMP and FDA requirements for quality and cleanliness in the cleanroom and production plant have been getting stricter and more cumbersome for years.  However, the pharmaceutical, biotech and food industries are still struggling to identify approaches that adhere to hygiene guidelines, whilst reducing the financial and labour costs of installation and maintenance.  This is particularly evident in the area of cabling.  Planners and end-users have to cope with welded pipes, PVC-coated conduits or cable trays that are difficult to clean, maintain and alter.  However, planners and end-users in Ireland, have consistently adopted a system that meets all GMP requirements, easy to install and maintain, stylish in appearance and cuts costs.
